What makes Societas Laudis unique

More than just a digital breviary, a work at the service of liturgical beauty and the communion of the faithful.

Icon Fidelity and Sense of the Church

Respect for the two-thousand-year-old tradition of the Church, relying on official Latin books and Church rubrics. Juxtaposed rigorous English translations avoid modern adaptations to focus on the deep meaning of the Latin.

Icon Living Gregorian Chant

Integration of Gregorian notation with interactive audio playback features. A powerful tool for learning, rehearsing, and singing in community, accessible even to the uninitiated.

Icon Prayer and Communion

Thanks to the Laus Perennis (Perpetual Praise) and the collective virtual pilgrimage to Jerusalem, the application breaks the solitude of the screen to spiritually connect all those praying through a true fraternal communion.

Dom Prosper Guéranger

The Church or the Society of Divine Praise

“The prayer of the Church is, therefore, the most pleasing to the ear and heart of God, and therefore the most efficacious of all prayers. Happy, then, is he who prays with the Church, and unites his own petitions with those of this bride, who is so dear to her Lord that He gives her all she asks!”

Discover the vision and writings of the servant of God, Dom Prosper Guéranger, restorer of the Benedictine Order in France at Solesmes Abbey, pioneer of the liturgical movement, whose influence was essential for the permanence of the Roman liturgy, as he explains in the short booklet written a few months before his death: The Church or the Society of Divine Praise.

Choose your prayer cursus

Adapt the liturgy of the hours to your preferences thanks to the support of three cursus: secular (read), secular (sung), monastic (sung).

The Benedictine Cursus (Antiphonale Monasticum)

Faithful to the Rule of Saint Benedict, this traditional liturgical cursus is the one practiced in Benedictine monasteries (Schema A). It offers a complete distribution of the psalter over a week and preserves the entire soul of contemplation in Gregorian chant.

Discover the monastic office

The Roman Secular Office (Liturgia Horarum), without chant

Conforming to the reforms of the Second Vatican Council and published in 1985, the secular cursus (Liturgy of the Hours) is the reference office used by priests and laity worldwide. The psalter is distributed over four weeks.

The Roman Antiphonal (Antiphonale Romanum), with Gregorian chant

This cursus presents the secular office with Gregorian chant notation. It is particularly suitable for parishes or communities wishing to sing Vespers and Lauds, or other offices in Gregorian chant.

What the faithful say

Join hundreds of Christians who structure their daily prayer life thanks to Societas Laudis.

"Societas Laudis has transformed our prayer life as a couple. The juxtaposed translation allows me to finally appreciate the richness of the Liturgy of the Hours in Latin without getting lost. It has replaced for us, to great advantage, the translations or adaptations proposed by local bishops' conferences, with the certainty of praying with the Church."

Guillaume D. — Layman, married

"The ability to switch to the sung Office or Mass is unique. Having the Gregorian notation directly before our eyes to practice is of invaluable help. The audio playback feature for the scores has greatly improved the quality of singing in our parish, even for those not initiated in Gregorian chant. What a joy!"

Marie-Thérèse G. — Parish choir member

"I use the mobile app every day. A Latin-English breviary in my pocket! It is simple, ergonomic, and visually beautiful. For a priest like me who must pray the Divine Office every day, it is a real plus. I recommend it warmly!"

Fr. Jean-François — Diocesan Priest

"As a mistress of novices, I recommend Societas Laudis to retreatants, interns, and postulants. In addition, being able to follow the monastic cursus outside the cloister during our travels is a true blessing. The application scrupulously respects the offices as described in the Holy Rule."

Sister Marie-Bénédicte — Nun

"I was able to deepen my understanding of Latin and Gregorian chant, whose spiritual richness I had never suspected, thanks to Societas Laudis. The fluid and modern interface makes this historic liturgy very accessible to our generation, which thirsts for the sacred and for contemplation."

Hilaire P. — Student

"We sing Compline as a family every evening. The children love following along on the tablet and listening to the audio helper for the hymn and antiphons to fall asleep in peace. A wonderful tool for passing on the faith."

Benoît L. — Father
